(B. 1958)

I consider my artwork to be contemporary realism, with a strong connection to the midcentury and the advertisement Of that Time.

I am at once enhancing and minimizing what i see, adding EXTRa detail to certain PARTS, while leaving other DETAILS completely out. This allows me to paint with an abstract approach even though i choose realism. My hope is to breathe life into my inanimate subjects... Places and objects of a time past, but still around today.

Although I received a degree in art, I consider myself to be significantly self taught. With each painting I learn something new, which I expect will always be true.

Painting provides me with the invaluable gift of being in the present moment.
